I came across a Facebook advertisement regarding a book entitled “Making My First Ten Million: The Story of Money and Leveraged Income” by Brian Carruthers. Usually, I pay little attention to these ads, but for some reason this particular one was intriguing. I ordered the book and it arrived in the mail on yesterday.
Making My First Ten Million is a small booklet that packs a punch. This book is a very quick read that explains the network marketing profession very well. The concepts in this book are not new to the experienced network marketer, but I like the way Carruthers presents his themes. I would like to discuss a few of those themes below:
Money can solve many problems in life. But you will only get more of it IF you learn to attract it.
Are you attracting money, or repelling it? Carruthers mentions this in the book, and it blew my mind. If you were conditioned and programmed your whole life that “money is the root of all evil” or “money makes people do bad things”, then you should not complain that there’s a lack of financial abundance in your life. You are repelling money away from you. Those very actions are causing you to get rid of the money you can potentially earn. If you want to change your bank account, the first change you need to make is with your mindset.
It is imperative for you to align your actions with the goal of creating wealth and gaining time freedom.
Congruence is crucial on your journey toward time freedom. If you want to make a million dollars, then your actions should reflect the amount you seek to earn. You cannot earn a million if you have a $100 set of actions. If your goal is to just earn money each month to pay bills or pay off debt, your wealth will never grow. Instead seek to earn more than your bills so that you can keep stockpiling a surplus. These individuals are the ones who eventually live a wealthy lifestyle.
No president is going to fix your personal economy…only you can.
The mental turning point will happen for many people when they come to grips that their situation will now improve itself unless they seek a better way. People need to take responsibility for their own situations. It is reckless to depend on leadership such as government or politicians to dictate your financial future. That’s why I love the network marketing profession.
If you can change your mind, you can change your bank account.
Most of us are our own worst enemy. We have been programmed to live mediocre lives. Many of us have been programmed to think that money is bad. Never forget the law of attraction and what you think is what you attract.
If your goal is just to earn money each month to pay bills or pay off debt, your wealth will never grow.
To make it big in life, you have to think big. Minor goals will not get you very far. Why not shoot for the moon and miss; but hit the stars, than set a low goal and hit it.
He made millions because he earned a cut of every commission from all the houses his 1000+ agents sold.
Real estate brokers and network marketers all have leverage. It’s better to earn 1% of 100 people’s efforts than 100% of your own. Leverage is a powerful thing.
Reading one short book can change your philosophy about money, which sets the stage for a potential life altering new relationship with money. In order to ascertain what is holding yourself back financially, you should open your mind and think like someone who has figured out the secret to freedom. When you only earn from your own efforts, it is near impossible to break through and create wealth. But when you have leveraged income, a whole new world opens up to you. The sky becomes the limit.
I have mentioned earlier that the information this book contains is not new for experienced network marketers. I do believe this is a great recruitment tool for anyone looking to build a team. This book is also recommended for individuals who may be leaning toward starting their network marketing journey.
